December Angel Message: Breathe

Rest in the grace that is the breath. Your breath will carry you through all the days of your life, from birth until death. In your breath there is peace, presence, power, and calm. Allow your breath to flow with ease to enter into the present moment. The present moment is truly all there is. There is nowhere else to be, nothing else to do, except what you are doing in this moment, right now. You can relax into this knowledge using your breath as your guide and your anchor. Release all thoughts of the past and the future and return to this moment, right now, using the powerful tool of your breath. And so it is....

January Angel Message: Allowing

Here is January's message from the angels. I hope it's helpful for you! See you next month! Give yourself time. There is no rush. Allow life to meet you where you are. Where are you going? You are only ever here. Now. There is nowhere to get to. Only to be. In this moment is where the magic happens. If you allow life to come to you, you will find there is nothing you have to do. Life blossoms where you are, as you are. So don’t fret. Don’t waste energy worrying what will come. Everything happens in due time, as it’s meant to. The blueprint from heaven made manifest on earth. It’s more than can be seen with human eyes. Trust and know, you only...

Feeling the Angels

On a quiet morning over the weekend, my daughter told me that she saw a light that she thought it was an angel, and wanted to know if it really was an angel. Having seen glimpses of angels and spiritual light on and off in my life, I told her I believe that it's possible. I believe sometimes people do see angels. I also told her that even if we don't always see them, we can feel them in our hearts. To which my daughter said something that really gave me pause and made me rethink the life we've been living the past few months: "How can I feel the angels if I have too much to do?" I paused. It is hard to feel the angels...

Taking Time to Connect

Every morning when I wake up, I usually (if I'm awake before my family) have a choice - spend a few minutes meditating and connecting to God/Source, or get out of bed and drink a bunch of coffee. On my best days, I manage to squeeze in both of these things, with meditating coming first (!). I have seen in my own life how much of a difference it makes for the rest of my day. When I forget to meditate, or I get too busy to meditate, my days feel off-kilter, as they often did before I ever learned about a spiritual side of life. Then I never fully connect to myself or something higher, and I am scrambling about for the rest of the...

The Source of All Peace

I hope this post finds you well! I started writing this post in October, in advance of the US Presidential Election, and will finish it after, to send out the first Friday of the month of November. I am, along with everyone else I know, apprehensive about the results. It’s hard to know what’s going to happen, who’s going win, and what direction our nation will take. In the midst of so much disinformation and online ads, it’s become hard to know who to trust or believe. My own extended family is divided on candidates with seemingly completely separate sets of facts, based on which media each consumes. And thanks to the film The Social Dilemma, I’ve learned about the social media algorithm that often results...

Hope in Things Unseen

In times of sadness or confusion, it helps me to remember that we are part of a greater, Godly reality. This week I've felt the pressure of parenting, career, finances, marriage, and holiday stress. It's easy to get lost in the tangible world and lose the tether to our greater reason for being here. While I love the bliss I experienced when I initially had my encounter with the Divine, and I attempt to connect to that peace regularly through prayer and meditation, I'm just not always going to feel that connected, joyful, and peaceful. This week was one of those times. I have felt stress. I have worried. I have wished for peace. When that happens, as it does, it helps me to get still, breathe,...

Pausing throughout the Day

In our harried lifestyles, it can be hard to take a moment and connect with your Self. I know I run, go, move around, get stressed, and lose touch with my heart and purpose on this planet frequently. It’s so easy to lose touch with who I am and why I’m here when there are schools, jobs, commutes, and dinner on the table. Thankfully, there is one amazing tool that always brings me back to myself – breathing. Breathing can be done at anytime, anywhere. The breath connects our spirits with our bodies and calms our minds. It’s so simple yet so profound.  The main trick is to notice when you are getting stressed and remember to breathe! I have friends who have apps on their Apple...

Starting Your Day

Waking up each day you begin with a clean slate. In dreams you reconnect with your source and are renewed. When you wake, in whatever way is best for you, nurture your connection to God and be gentle with yourself. Can you take a deep breath? Can you be kind to your body? As a mom it’s easy for me to want to hit the ground running, and sometimes I must. In the past year I’ve begun waking before everyone else, around 4:30 or 5 am – my best and only true quiet time, which allows me to begin the day slowly, from my heart, and to write these reflections to you. It has helped me immensely to feel connected to my life’s purpose and...

Keeping a Clear Connection

Finding and keeping a clear connection to God and your heart is such a huge part of living an awakened life. Having a clear connection means you are able to feel and sense your heart and God. Just like we get dirty from living our lives and have to bathe, our spiritual connection needs to be maintained if we are to live lives that are whole.  There have been times in my life when I thought God had left me, especially after my beautiful experience. When I had to learn to life in the world again, it felt like God and my angels took a step back to help me learn to stand on my own two feet. I used to cry and feel completely abandoned....

Staying Grounded Amidst Change

When change in your life and on the planet is afoot, it’s helpful to try to stay grounded whenever you are able to. I’ll admit, I have had a hard time of it sometimes. When life is really changing fast, it’s difficult to get my footing and remain centered. I get swept up in the current and become easily ungrounded.  Paying attention to my breath is the most important technique I've found to stay grounded. I’ve heard about the importance of breathing for years. I even help kids practice their breathing every day in my work as a speech and language pathologist. Does that mean I remember to breathe? Of course not! But, some days are better than others. It takes practice to remember to breathe, however, once...
