Taking it One Step at a Time

In healing and in life, it’s so important to take things at the right pace. Try not to rush or push, though the temptation may be great. I’ve heard it said that “life works itself out in the process of life itself,” and I think that’s a great way of putting it. I used to try to rush many things in my life, from school to work to success to marriage. I pushed hard against the current of life to try to make things work in the way I believed they were supposed to. Not Giving Up

When you have your sights set on something, be it completing a goal or finishing a task, don’t give up. Keep going, keep working, keep striving towards your vision. Fearful inner voices may try to convince you that your vision is impossible. Do not listen to them! Instead, listen to your higher self, your God self, your heart. It will keep shining like a guiding star in your most lost moments. It will carry you to completion. Going through the Tunnel

My two-year-old daughter has lately been surprisingly interested in watching videos of railroad handcars and railbikes. I’ll admit, they’re soothing and interesting (our favorite is this one). We’ve watched them after reading bedtime stories for the last few nights in a row. In one video, a man riding a railbike approaches and enters a very dark train tunnel. Approaching the tunnel looks a little scary – no light inside, and no telling where he will end up.  It’s a lot like birth. And a lot like major transformation. Tunnel moments in life are tough.
